Decoys

"The CIA may never be the same."

Synopsis

Ex-stripper, small-time con artist, and rookie CIA agent Daisy Parker has just been assigned her first official field operation for "The Company." She and partner Jim Blankman are under cover as a vacationing couple of civilians. Their mission? Appear to unknowingly receive a top-secret package planted on them by an agent from a different department. A third team of agents must witness the staged drop, believe that Parker and Blankman really are innocent civilians, and think that their own mission is to assure the package's safe theft from the "couple" by known terrorists. Simple, right?

But from the very start, Agent Parker has an agenda of her own. Brilliantly intelligent, painfully insecure, and suspicious of nearly everything, Daisy Parker makes the naïve assumption that the CIA has planned for every eventuality, but she quickly learns that nearly everyone else involved in the operation is a bungling idiot, and decides that it's up to her alone to follow the package, and the entire mission, through to completion.

Along the way she's confronted with an array of distinctly inept fellow agents, a strangely androgynous terrorist, and the strippers and hotel clerks she chooses to involve in her scheme. It's a crazy, comic adventure that only Daisy Parker could dream up, as she leads her partners and her enemies alike on a chase for a package that no one knows the contents of, and that could bring down the President. It's a tangled, comical web of who's who and what's real, and who knows it, and who doesn't.
